  What is Worldfest?
   
 

Worldfest is an annual, three days cultural event for explorers of all ages and nationalities.
With more than 150 different nationalities living in and around Toronto, we are one of the world’s single largest centers for cultural diversification. Worldfest brings many of these communities together under a single umbrella.


Toronto is bound with street festivals and local cultural events. None have the diversification and magnitude of Worldfest. In a world of shrinking distances and technological communication, Worldfest brings back the nostalgic past of face to face travel all under one roof. Worldfest allows the traveler to experience the cultural realities that each and every country represented has to offer. Be it food, drink, entertainment, dress, or customs, including local laws of import and export. Each community will be represented by a pavilion-style geographical zone without borders. The explorer is allowed to roam freely from country to country.
   
  Worldfest is a plethora of international diversity, intrigue and experience. 
   
  Traveling throughout Worldfest, the explorer is able to feel at home, yet get transported to the pavilion’s country of origin. With this in mind, Worldfest selects each participant with strict criteria. Each pavilion must adhere to a prescribed formula that gives authenticity to its country’s origins. Worldfest’s international food court is just that. Only original foods of countries represented are allowed. An International shopping bazaar focuses on original items only. Worldfest is committed to deliver ongoing and original entertainment at Centre Stage. A special committee selects only the best of the best that each community has to offer. Be it pop singers, rock stars, acrobats, magicians or folkloric dancers. Free hourly draws for great prizes and trips will be included.
Carnival entertainment and rides for the young and young at heart are an integral part of Worldfest.

  As one of Toronto’s most diversified areas, Fairbank Village BIA, extends from Dufferin Street to Chamberlain Avenue along Eglinton Avenue West, including the west side of Dufferin Street from Hunter Avenue, north to Schell Avenue. This area has a variety of shops and services to take care of your many needs. Easily accessed by major routes such as Black Creek, Hwy 401 and the Allen Expressway.
